At Sax Stack (TM), our goal is helping musicians to better organize, store and display their musical gear (with a current focus on saxophonists) in their practice, rehearsal and performance spaces.

At Sax Stack (TM), we are actively exploring additional musical instrument and musical instrument accoutrement organizational, storage and display solutions to offer musicians better options for a seamless practice, rehearsal or performance experience.

The Sax Stack (TM) family has partnered with Incept 3D to produce our flagship Sax Stack Saxophone Accoutrement Storage & Display System for both Alto Saxophone and Tenor Saxophone (Patent Pending). We look forward to working with Incept 3D in the new year to bring additional musical instrument/instrument accoutrement storage and display solutions to life.

The Sax Stack (TM) Saxophone Accoutrement Storage & Display System is designed to allow the musician to use the unit intuitively. We also supply a copy of the Sax Stack Owner's Guide with each unit so that you can properly care for and get the most from your Sax Stack user experience.

The Sax Stack family is enthused about bringing more innovative musical instrument storage and musically-themed products to you in the near future. To that end, we are currently working with our partners at Incept 3D on a new saxophone accoutrement storage product prototype that we think may be a real "game changer" for many saxophonists! Consumers commonly assume that all items are flimsy plastic novelties (defined by rough layer lines and slow production speeds), and that they lack real-world durability. Sax Stack is sharing the following construction and design details to dispell any inaccurate assumptions about our products.

The bottom panel, side panels, and top platform of the Sax Stack body are constructed from 5 mm-thick PETG. This provides an appreciable "heft" to the unit as well as a remarkable amount of strength to the body of the unit. We have tested the unit against a 30-pound dumbell and found that the Sax Stack will support this amount of weight.

The Sax Stack is designed with a removable bottom panel that allows the user to to access the interior of the unit body and the integrated fan and its wiring that occupies this space. The bottom panel is attached to the upper portion of the unit with a series of eight (8) screws (3 mm diameter) to ensure stability and help eliminate any air flow leakage. The corresponding photo depicts some of these mounting screws in their relative positions in the bottom panel, the heat-set threaded inserts in the vertical panels which correspond to the screws (for durable and repeatable fastening of the bottom panel to the upper part of the unit), and the overlapping flange design (where the vertical panels meets the bottom panel) that helps to eliminate air flow leakage.

The saxophone neck (tenon) receivers for both the alto sax and tenor sax units feature robust receiver inserts made from Soft Thermoplastic Polyurethane (Soft TPU). Soft TPU has been described as "A stretchy plastic type that mixes the strength of hard plastic with the soft bounce of rubber". We have found this material to be: 1) Durable
The saxophone neck (tenon) receivers for both the alto sax and tenor sax units feature robust receiver inserts made from Soft Thermoplastic Polyurethane (Soft TPU). Soft TPU has been described as "A stretchy plastic type that mixes the strength of hard plastic with the soft bounce of rubber". We have found this material to be: 1) Durable to the repeated contact / friction with the various saxophone necks (tenons) that we have used for product testing, 2) Providing a sturdy foundation for the sax neck such that the neck is supported in the desired resting position when correctly mounted to the sax neck receiver, 3) Flexible to allow a good seal around the neck tenon of the mounted neck to eliminate air flow leakage. We have included a corresponding photo to show the neck receivers / TPU inserts in our alto and tenor sax models.

The computer-style electric fan that is integrated into the Sax Stack provides an air flow that dries the damp interiors of a alto sax neck and mouthpiece in 10 minutes (on average) and dries the damp interiors of a tenor sax neck and mouthpiece in ~20 minutes (on average). According to the fan's manufacturer, the fan is rated for 67,000

According to the fan's manufacturer, the fan is rated for 67,000 hours of service life. This means that by using the Sax Stack for 20 minutes every single day, a person could expect to get 553 years of use from the integrated fan! In the unlikely event of an issue with the fan, the fan can be easily accessed as described above for repairs / replacement.
